StarHub has launched the Roam Manager. It is Singapore's first set of tools to provide customers a way to track mobile roaming calls data in more than 220 destinations around the world. The data tracked include data usage cost notification, which takes the anxiety out of using smartphones overseas because the Roam Manager keeps you aware of how much you are being charged at all times.

In addition to providing daily roaming notifications, there are also five tiers of alert that will be triggered when data roaming hits specified levels, starting at the $20 and going up to $1000 level. Customers have the option of choosing different alert levels depending on their needs, and they are able to directly suspend data roaming connection to their handset instantly, and then reconnect when needed.

Passengers of Ryanair can now benefit from the first free cell phone roaming service that the airline is launching in partnership with Maxroam. Ryanair will soon be releasing 1m free roaming minutes on received calls to new customers as well as the existing ones.

Using Maxroam SIM card will also allow Ryanair customers to make cheap roaming outgoing calls at 29c per minute as well as send very cheap roaming texts at 9c per text. This cheap roaming service will be available across 43 European countries. The free roaming minutes on incoming calls can also be availed in these travel destinations.

Maxroam's cheap roaming SIM cards can be easily purchased online and can be used with standard GSM phones along with iPhones and iPads as well.
